Rental Duel was created to solve a simple problem: choosing the right vacation rental software is confusing. With dozens of options available, each claiming to be the best, it's hard to know which platform truly fits your needs.

Our Mission

We provide honest, detailed, side-by-side comparisons of vacation rental software so you can make an informed decision. No fluff, no bias — just the facts you need.

Who writes this site

Rental Duel is a small two-person operation, not a content agency.

• Francesco, founder and software analyst. Over ten years in digital, e-commerce and project management, working with brands across Europe. He handles the pricing breakdowns, the head-to-head comparisons and the platform reviews, which means setting up trial accounts and mapping plans tier by tier rather than repeating vendor marketing.
• Gabriele, host and operator. He manages a small portfolio of short-term rentals in southern Italy and has hosted on Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com since 2018. He puts our software tests into practice by running the platforms across his own rentals, and covers automation, guest communication and the day-to-day operational articles.

Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it, and you can see everything either of us has published on our author pages: Francesco and Gabriele.

How We Review

Our reviews are based on hands-on use, primary sources and published vendor documentation. We evaluate each platform on:

• Features, what the software actually does, not what the homepage claims
• Ease of use, how long setup really takes and what it feels like daily
• Pricing, every tier, plus the fees that only appear at checkout
• Support, the channels you get and at which plan
• Integrations, which channels and tools it connects to, and how
